BERNIA is the name of a research project carried out by the artistic group made up of Mario-Paul
Martínez Fabre, Joan Llobell, Emilio Roselló, Alfonso Sánchez-Luna, Pilar Viviente, and coordinated by Pilar Escanero. From painting with tempera to digital photography, from the brush stroke on canvas to the pixel or the installation with branches or gold leaf, for these artists, an image is created by means of a skill, an ability and an attitude that have to do with the stroke, whether on paper, on the wall, on the floor or on an object. The object of their research is the support as a formal and conforming element.
